Remote Places

Come on a musical tour with us to some remote places. We visit magical Lake Argyle in the Kimberleys of Western Australia in ‘Moonrise over Lake Argyle’, dance a solitary tango in the Outback town of Broken Hill in ‘The Royal Exchange’, holiday in the Mediterranean in ‘Six Greek Dances’ and much else in music that soars with melody.
Hear Remote Places through the eyes, ears and imagination of some of our most revered composers – Ross Edwards, Andrew Ford, Diana Blom, Ann Carr-Boyd and Philip Bolliger.

Carmel Vowles – Feedback from the conceert

Thankyou for the opportunity to be a part of this beautiful concert … and to have the composer in our midst was lovely gift.

It was wonderful to see so many people attending and such an enthusiastic response to the beautiful compositions and artists performing. … really wonderful.

Having this gift also offered the opportunity to offer a ticket to a person whose husband has died recently and since has moved into this area.  To  BE in a beautiful space and her now enthusiasm and keenness to attend more concerts has planted a germinating ‘seed’.

Thankyou for benefiting the community through your publications for soulful and uplifting opportunities and experiences and especially for this gift today.

In gratitude,

Carmel

March 25-28 2021 : Bowral Autumn Music Festival

It is with immense sadness we mourn the passing of the superb Australian soprano, Taryn Fiebig

Those of us who were lucky enough to hear Taryn perform with Acacia Quartet at the June 2019 Bowral Autumn Music Festival Fundraiser were enthralled by her sensational talent, her beautiful nature and her incredible ability to engage the audience with the music.

Taryn’s amazing skill as a music educator was an absolute joy to behold as she encouraged, extended and inspired the local students who were so very fortunate to be able to participate in the BAMF 2020 Voice Masterclass.

Taryn’s generous spirit made an indelible imprint upon all who were part of her extraordinary journey. We send our sincere condolences to Jud Arthur and family as we grieve this immeasurable loss.

Artistic Director, Myee Clohessy and the Bowral Autumn Music Festival Committee.

Please be advised that Concerts 3 and 6 below will feature the splendid lyric soprano Amy Moore together with Acacia Quartet.

Amy Moore sings Five Songs by Peggy Glanville-Hicks arranged for the Acacia Quartet by Ann Carr-Boyd.
