March 25-28 2021 : Bowral Autumn Music Festival

It is with immense sadness we mourn the passing of the superb Australian soprano, Taryn Fiebig

Those of us who were lucky enough to hear Taryn perform with Acacia Quartet at the June 2019 Bowral Autumn Music Festival Fundraiser were enthralled by her sensational talent, her beautiful nature and her incredible ability to engage the audience with the music.

Taryn’s amazing skill as a music educator was an absolute joy to behold as she encouraged, extended and inspired the local students who were so very fortunate to be able to participate in the BAMF 2020 Voice Masterclass.

Taryn’s generous spirit made an indelible imprint upon all who were part of her extraordinary journey. We send our sincere condolences to Jud Arthur and family as we grieve this immeasurable loss.

Artistic Director, Myee Clohessy and the Bowral Autumn Music Festival Committee.

Please be advised that Concerts 3 and 6 below will feature the splendid lyric soprano Amy Moore together with Acacia Quartet.

Amy Moore sings Five Songs by Peggy Glanville-Hicks arranged for the Acacia Quartet by Ann Carr-Boyd.

March 15 2021 : Portrait of John Martin launch

John Martin 2021

Comments re portrait of John Martin launch at 55 Merrigang Street, 15th March 2021:

From Alyson Broadfoot :
Had a sleep in today. And woke to photos.  All very festive. But the best is your likeness of John. Would love to have seen the texture of the real thing. I think you have beautifully and cleverly captured his active personality and energy. Well done!!! A portrait is such a brave medium. Into the Archibald??
X Alyson

From Amanda Pile :
Hi Ann, I just wanted to thank you and Peter for last night – it was indeed an occasion to celebrate !  I think the painting is wonderful  –  you have captured John’s unique humour, quirkiness, creativity and intelligence.  Again so much generosity on your behalf, so thank you.

From Adrian Wintle ( Wagga ) :
Oh wow! Don’t know how you do it! I mean, capturing John’s quirkish sense of humour. Makes this portrait so much more than a mere likeness – it’s a piece of living tissue. May I add, both you and John look very relaxed and happy. Great stuff!
